Eastleigh Community Services (ECS)
ECS is an independent charity established in 1978. Its aim is to improve the quality of life for residents in the borough of Eastleigh by supporting local voluntary activities and providing a range of services and facilities, particularly for older people, carers and people with disabilities.
ECS has a membership of some 300 local voluntary organisations who elect a board of nine trustees to govern the organisation, which since 1996 has been a charitable company limited by guarantee. As an independent organisation, ECS is able to represent the views of voluntary organisations to public and private bodies alike.
