What is Home Information Support Project?

The project provides a confidential information service for people who need help  but are not sure who to contact. Our comprehensive database and network of contacts mean that you will get an answer to your queries about social activities, transport, health information, housing services, where to get benefits money advice, and local organisations.

                How does it work?

We are ready to answer any query, however large or small, searching out information as required. We can visit you at home, help with form filling, and work with you to resolve any problems. We can also attend clubs and meetings with our information stall and give short talks about the project.

Who can benefit from the service?

The service is part of the Healthy Living Network that covers the borough of Eastleigh and is aimed at people who find it difficult to access information easily – the housebound (of any age), elderly people, disabled people and single parents.

How do I contact the project?

You can make contact directly by phone, letter, e-mail or personal visit. Social Services, health professionals, friends, relatives and neighbours also refer people to the project.
