Membership Rules
Membership is open to voluntary or statutory bodies serving the residents of Eastleigh Borough.
Membership is subject to an annual fee as determined by the Board of Trustees from time to time.
Membership entitles an organisation to vote at the AGM and nominate people for election to the Board of Trustees and the Representatives Committee.
Members have a limited liability of £1(one pound) in the event of Eastleigh Community Services ceasing to operate.
Membership entitles the organisation the right to book Eastleigh Voluntary Transport Scheme minibuses for their use and for which there is a scale of charge.
Membership entitles an organisation to concessionary rates for publications and services provided/organised by ECS such as the List of Organisations, training courses, etc. Members will receive one copy of the bi-monthly newsletter Network. Further copies may be obtained on request from the admin office at a cost of £2 per copy.
Members have the right to access staff for advice and information e.g. volunteering issues, constitutions, fundraising and management committee issues.
Members are entitled to use the facilities and resources ECS provide, for which a small charge may be levied. these include: Photocopier
Members have the right to participate in any consultation exercise run by ECS
It is expected that members will play a part in the running of ECS, attend the AGM and keep the organisation informed of issues affecting the voluntary sector locally.
ECS reserves the right to reject an application for membership if the Board of Trustees are are not convinced that the organisation's aims and objectives are consistant with those of ECS.
ECS reserves the right not to renew membership of a group if circumstances change and the group no longer fulfils the criteria on which original membership was granted
In the event pf 11 and 12 occurring ECS will inform the applicant of the reasons for its decision.
