Shopmobility loans out powered or manual wheelchairs and scooters to enable
people to shop in Eastleigh independently, or to use other town centre
facilities within the catchment area of the scheme.

is Shopmobility?
Eastleigh
Shopmobility is located in Eastleigh Borough Council’s Area Office, Unit 2,
Swan Centre, Wells Place, Eastleigh (next to McDonalds).
How
do I get there?
Dial-a-Ride
buses provide a service to and from Eastleigh Shopmobility premises. If you come
by car, there are approximately 10 disabled parking bays
next to the
shop.

is Shopmobility open?

Shopmobility is open six days a week:
Monday-Friday
9.30am-4.30pm
Saturday
9.30am-4pm
Who
can use Eastleigh Shopmobility?
Anyone who
has difficulty getting around on foot, either permanently or temporarily, may
hire a vehicle. You do not have have to be registered disabled to use
Shopmobility. An escort may also be provided when available and if sufficient
notice is given.
How do I
hire a vehicle?
On or
before your first visit you will be required to complete a registration form to
become a member of the scheme. Membership is free, but a small charge is made
each time you hire a vehicle. Extended hire is also available against a deposit
of £25.
Volunteers
Eastleigh
Shopmobility depends on volunteers to staff the office and to provide an escort
service, where required, to people hiring manual wheelchairs. Click

Parkmobility
Parkmobility
is an initiative by Eastleigh Shopmobility to encourage those with walking
difficulties to visit country parks. A four-wheeled scooter and manual
wheelchair is currently available at no cost from Lakeside Country Park,
Southampton Road, Eastleigh. For further details contact the Park Manager at
